LOCATIONS THAT NEED SUPPORT FROM TRAVELERS LIKE YOU THIS SEASON

The law of supply and demand is just as true in travel healthcare as it is in many other industries. In our world the demand comes from the patients individual facilities treat on a regular basis and the supply is the ongoing support travelers like yourself offer to these healthcare providers.

The demand is constant but the supply fluctuates, especially once the temperature turns cold. This can cause many facilities in northern climates to go without the professional support they need to meet their demand. They need travelers like you! So, if you’re ready to lend a helping hand through a new assignment, there are several areas that need your help.

Alaska.

Key areas: Fairbanks, Juneau and Anchorage

Yes, it gets cold in Alaska at this time of year but the opportunities here are amazing, from dogsledding to skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. There’s plenty to do outdoors in Alaska. And if you’re into sightseeing, there’s no better place to chase the one-of-a-kind Northern Lights than the northernmost state in the country.

Alaska provides an amazing travel opportunity for any healthcare traveler, but the demand is especially high right now for RNs, so don’t delay in learning more about your options.

Minnesota.

Key areas: Ostrander, Melrose

The Land of 10,000 Lakes takes on a different look in the winter but the demand for skilled travelers doesn’t abate. While most people think of the Twin Cities when they think of Minnesota, smaller communities like Ostrander and Melrose need help as well. These areas allow you to explore the unique aspects of life in southern and central Minnesota respectively and either is within driving distance of the Twin Cities.

Montana.

Key area: Billings

With one of the smallest populations of any state, Montana isn’t front of mind for many travel professionals, and because of this, open positions can go unfulfilled. If you put Montana first this year, you’re apt to enjoy a unique experience that gets you away from the hustle and bustle of larger metro areas while still providing the accoutrements you’re used to. The sights cannot be beat in Montana, so don’t hesitate to give it a look.
