What is your name and what do you do at OneStaff?
Kayla Cash, what do I do at OneStaff.... well Captain of the Cheer squad ;) Constantly pumping up my team of recruiters to keep the energy fun in the office as well as leaking that into the nursing world! In all seriousness, I'm a Team Lead of Recruitment for our Nursing Division. I still run a desk and maintain relationships with the nurses I've had the pleasure of meeting along the way as well!
Why do you love being a recruiter?
I'm a huge people person, having a "job" that "requires" me to talk to people, build relationships and help people meet their goals all day is literally a dream!
What do you love about the OneStaff family?
Just that, that's it's wholeheartedly a FAMILY! I've been with the company for going on 5 years now and know that there's no other place for me. The people I work with in and outside of the office are absolutely amazing.
What is your favorite city to travel to?
So far, Eureka, CA has been my favorite city to travel to thus far! I went and met a group of the travel nurses I work with on their assignment out there and it was absolutely beautiful (even in February)!
What motivates you to constantly be better; personally and professionally?
Complacency just is not in my DNA. I'm not someone that can just stay stagnant and do the same old same old without getting bored. My dad's M.O. raising my sisters and I was to always "work your tail off, deserve what you earn and never stop trying". I've taken that to heart and have really run with it.
Any side hobbies or passions you'd like to share with our travelers?
Anything new and exciting I'm pretty much up for, but the things I seem to always land back on that excite me most are travel, loving on my puppies and binge-watching Netflix/Hulu.
What’s your promise to potential travelers that may see this and would want to work with you?
Something OneStaff instills into all of their recruiters from the beginning is honesty, transparency, and integrity. Myself like many of the other recruiters here have worked that into their recruitment DNA. For me personally, I can tell you that I do put my whole heart into my position and get a lot of gratification in helping travelers meet and exceed their goals with traveling. What I see most is paying off student loans, paying off debt, hitting all 50 states, fulfilling their sense of adventure, etc. Being able to help steer travelers in the right direction and knock out some if not all of those goals I feel that fulfillment comes in all directions. If the nurse is happy with their recruiter and company they have a better set up to be fulfilled in their role and in turn give amazing care to the public. With all of that being said, to sum it up I'd say that my promise is to always have your best interest at heart.
