WHERE ARE YOU TRAVELING TO? FOUR (4) DESTINATIONS FOR ANY BUCKET LIST.

Where are you traveling to? 4 destinations for any bucket list

When we talk about the things that make travel nursing awesome, it’s no surprise that the travel itself is number one. Where else can you get paid to see the sights you’ve always wanted to visit, plus enjoy total control over where you do or don’t go? Pretty amazing, right?

As you start planning for a new travel assignment, considering your travel wish list can be a helpful tool to prioritize potential destinations. With that in mind, here are four places you simply must visit. Keep them in mind and your next assignment will find you instead of the other way around.

* Big Sur. The Santa Lucia Mountains are one of the most rugged and recognizable locations on the coast of central California. Whether you go simply to see them or to enjoy the myriad retreats and artist events in the area, this stop is a cultural haven for any would-be artist, writer or photographer.

* Estes Park. Located in Colorado, Estes Park is a must-see for any nature enthusiast. Bison and elk are commonly visible here, and the iconic Rockies towering above beautiful glacial lakes have a natural beauty you won’t find anywhere else.

* Palm Springs. The right travel assignment could pay you to work and live in the Palm Springs area, which has been a coveted travel destination for more than a century. The beautiful weather has made this area a hot spot for many of California’s most well-known celebrities, and when you’re not stargazing, there are nearby national parks and the area's amazing modernist architecture to keep you enthralled.

* New York City and Washington, D.C. If you’re looking to step away from nature, these two destinations offer a charm all their own. Both are loaded with monuments, iconic locations and resources for literally everything you could want. Peruse the Smithsonian in our nation’s capital or explore Manhattan and spend the day at Times Square. You’ll never have enough time to see everything there is to experience in either location during just one assignment, but it will be a blast to try!

That’s our top four. What travel destinations are on your bucket list?
